Former group: Wilson Phillips (1989-1993) Wilson Phillips’ eponymous debut album was a middle-of-the-road monster, selling more than 10 million copies after its 1990 release. But the group’s second album didn’t fare as well, so Carnie and Wendy Wilson formed a duo, and Phillips went her own way. Notable songs: “Hold On,” “Release Me” Solo achievemen­ts (1995-present): A dancier reinventio­n did nothing for Phillips, and her solo album “Naked and Sacred” flopped, selling just 22,000 copies, according to Nielsen. The Wilsons struggled almost as badly, and Wilson Phillips caved to the inevitable by getting back together in the early 2000s. Notable songs: “Naked and Sacred”
