A British man won a wager with his girlfriend, who bet him £100 ($134) that he couldn’t refrain from having more than one glass of beer a day until Christmas.

Jamie Stokes found a creative way to win the money from gal pal Chloe Woodland. Stokes, 27, from the Rhondda Valley in Wales, bought a whale of a glass, which holds the equivalent of seven cans.

Speaking of booze, a truck overturned near Philadelphia, turning the road into a real high-way.

It was carrying cases of vodka, which spilled out and burst open.

It’s unclear if anyone picked up a free bottle when the wreck happened.

A sticky-tentacled octopus used its eight arms to steal lunch.

When a Florida Keys fisherman pulled up his trap, he saw the octopus calmly dining on the bait, which it had easily pulled out.

The angler put the trap back in the water with the octopus still in it. “I thought it would be rude to interrupt his dinner,’’ he said.

A friendly dog caused a delay in a soccer game in Macedonia.

The pup ran out on the field, where one of the goalkeepers, Filip Gacevski, tried unsuccessfully to shoo him away.

But Gacevski succumbed to the dog’s charms and gave him a belly rub when he turned over — which apparently was his goal.

Security tried to catch the pooch, but he escaped.

We hope her family likes guacamole.

A woman who lives in Hawaii is hoping the massive avocado she found, which weighs in at five pounds, will set a world record.

“I see avocados every day, and I pick up avocados every day, but this one, it was hard to miss,” said Pamala Wang, who lives on the Big Island. “It was as big as my head.” She’s waiting to hear from Guinness World Records to find out if it truly is a record-setter.
