Comic’s fam feud

- Richard Johnson rjohnson@nypost.com @HeadlineJohnson

JACKIE Mason isn’t expected at the opening of “Alexander Schwartz Sleeps With Mae West” on Dec. 27 at the Cutting Room.

The show stars Jackie’s daughter, Sheba Mason, 31, but Jackie, 86, doesn’t want anything to do with her or her mother, Ginger

Reiter, who wrote the musical comedy.

“She’s not my daughter. The doctor said it’s a lot of baloney,” Jackie (inset) told me. “She makes a living calling herself my daughter. I don’t want to hurt anyone. If you want to call yourself my son, go ahead.” Sheba plays the secretively transgender mistress of an oversexed Miami Beach, Fla., man circa 1981. “Schwartz is not only stunned to discover that his beautiful young mistress used to be a man, but she is actually the long-lost child of his good buddy Milty,” Reiter told me. “When Milty finds out that his son is now a daughter and that Al’s been schtupping her, chaos ensues.”

Jackie confronted Sheba on the street five years ago because he heard she’d been mocking him in her stand-up act, joking, “Sometimes I wish a better-looking comedian was my father, like

Woody Allen or Rosie O’Donnell.”

Sheba lives near the Applejack Diner in Midtown, where Jackie holds court most nights. “But I don’t try to talk to him, because he doesn’t want to talk to me,” Sheba said.

As for whether Jackie is her father, “The blood tests said I am his daughter, and he paid child support until I was 18.”
