Where the heck did this come from? Eli Manning (37-of-57, 434 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT) was slinging it and Sterling Shepard (11 rec., 139 yards, 1 TD) and Evan

Engram ( 8, 87) were catching it. TDs of 67 yards to Shepard and 57 yards to Tavarres King. Converted 10-of-18 third downs, 504 total yards and only one sack allowed. Not much (75 yards) on ground, but this was a passing day. Costly false start by

Bobby Hart on last drive. The ever-elusive 30-point barrier remains intact.

DEFENSE

Didn’t matter that Nick Foles (24-of-38, 237 yards, 4 TDs) was in for Carson Wentz; the Eagles still were hard to stop. Foles had a field day in his first start of the season. Very bad gamble or misplay by Dominique Rodgers

Cromartie, playing safety, to allow TE Trey Burton to run wide open for uncontested TD. Key missed tackle on TE Zach Ertz by S Darian Thompson late in game. Ertz also easily postedup Andrew Adams in the end zone for an easy TD. At least there was a fourth-and-1 stop by Jason Pierre-Paul and Adams on LeGarrette Blount in second quarter.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Hmm, where to begin? After a great opening drive, Ereck

Flowers barely got out of his stance and allowed Derek Barnett to cut through the middle for a blocked extra point. Terrible blocked punt in second quarter, with personal protector

Darian Thompson doing nothing to prevent Kamu Grugier-Hill from smacking the ball off Brad

Wing’s foot. Then there was a blocked field goal as Aldrick

Rosas’ 48-yard attempt, swatted away by Malcolm Jenkins. These mistakes gave Eagles TD “drives’’ of 20 and 18 yards.

COACHING

Got to credit Steve Spagnuolo for getting his team not only ready to play, but ready to win, even though it did not. Up-tempo attack on offense by Mike Sullivan gave Eagles fits, and Sullivan let it fly with Manning. There were three huge gaffes by Tom Quinn’s special teams that cannot be tolerated.
