With Friends Like These: The UN’s Backstabbing Vote

The United Nations remains consistent in its unwavering, unabashed and unequivocal hostility toward Israel (“‘Stop!’ Go the Weasels,” Dec. 22).

The recent vote against the United States for recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel shows the true colors of our friends in this feckless organization.

I daresay that Jerusalem became an issue only because Israel is a Jewish state, and that is simply intolerable to the majority of UN members. S.P. Hersh Lawrence

Ambassador Nikki Haley properly called out the vile UN vote criticizing President Trump’s decision to move our embassy to Jerusalem. It’s just the latest example of the United Nations’ antiAmerican and anti-Israel venom.

Trump’s legacy could be that he dealt with the United Nations. Telling the United Nations to remove its headquarters from New York City would be a good start.

As we expected, the ingrates at Turtle Bay have agreed on yet another reason to hate Israel.

The recent vote condemning Trump’s acknowledgment of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital is only the most recent example of the anti-Semitism oozing out of the United Nations.
