‘ARREST SPITZ FOR THREAT’

A Manhattan man wants disgraced ex-Gov. Eliot Spitzer arrested for allegedly threatening to stab him in the privates at a swank Upper East Side restaurant.
Jamie Antolini said Sunday that he filed a complaint at the NYPD’s 19th Precinct Friday over the incident at Avra Madison Estiatorio, a favorite haunt of Spitzer’s.
“I felt very threatened,” Antolini, 48, told The Post. “It’s not acceptable for anybody. I mean, who says things like that? The people I was with are still in shock.”
Detectives are investigating whether Spitzer should be charged with harassment or menacing and plan to review surveillance video and interview witnesses, lawenforcement sources said.
It’s unclear whether cops will seek to interview Spitzer, who as governor once warned a rival pol, “I am a f--king steamroller,” and was recently accused of promising an ex-hooker “a slow, painful death” over their widely publicized 2014 dust-up at The Plaza hotel.
The Post was first to report that Spitzer, who resigned in 2008 over his first hooker scandal, allegedly went ballistic Jan. 2 upon hearing Antolini loudly praise his nemesis, Home Depot founder Ken Langone.
“I’m going to stab you in the c--k with a f--king knife!” Spitzer, 58, allegedly screamed at one point.
Antolini is being represented by lawyer Joseph Murray. Murray, an ex-cop, is also representing Svetlana Travis Zakharova, who last year struck a plea bargain in which prosecutors dropped allegations that she extorted $400,000 from Spitzer.
This month, she released an audio recording of a phone call during which she claims Spitzer threatened her with death, saying, “You f- -king destroyed my life.”
“When Jamie heard the recording he essentially said, ‘Me, too,’ ” Murray said.
Spitzer’s spokeswoman responded with a previously released statement blaming Antolini for “making aggressive remarks, which Mr. Spitzer initially ignored. An argument ensued, but at no time did he make any threats.”
