Where in the world is Matt’s wife?

-

MATT Lauer’s betrayed wife, Annette Roque, is bouncing back, surrounded by close friends and family in Europe.

The Dutch former model — who was photographed looking frail and forlorn after her disgraced husband was fired from “Today” in a sexual-harassment scandal — was spotted in Amsterdam having a luxurious lunch on Friday with a female friend. She looked relaxed and was laughing and drinking red wine, all without her wedding ring on, and sources say she is “regrouping.”

Roque was spotted at Rijks — the upscale eatery at Amsterdam’s venerable Rijksmuseum. “She was having lunch with a girlfriend,” said a jet-setting witness. “They were drinking red wine, and Annette did not have her wedding ring on. She was laughing through the whole lunch.” Rijks is a “lively, luxurious brasserie” according to the Michelin Guide, which gave it a star. The source added: “Annette is enjoying the European life. She is in a different mind-set here, where she grew up.”

Indeed, reclusive Roque — who was pictured in December near their Hamptons home looking crestfallen while running errands without a wedding ring — looked to be enjoying herself in Amsterdam, where her family lives. She was dressed casually in a grey athleisure top with her hair down in a softer, less-severe look.

Page Six reported last month that Roque has kicked Lauer out of the couple’s Hamptons home and that divorce is “imminent” after nearly two decades of marriage. Sources have said that Lauer has been trying to save the marriage, but Roque is moving on.

Lusty Lauer was abruptly fired from “Today” in late November over claims of inappropriate sexual conduct at work. He claimed he’d had three affairs while at the show. Roque previously filed for divorce in 2006, citing “mental abuse, extreme mental and emotional distress, humiliation, torment and anxiety,” but withdrew the filing weeks later after they reached a settlement. This time, it seems she’s more serious. Annette could not be reached, and Matt’s rep had no comment.
