Rapper’s romance

- — Alev Aktar

Remy Ma’s husband, Papoose, knows how to do Valentine’s Day right.

“I can’t lie, he spoils me,” the rapper told The Post from her front-row seat at the Christian Cowan show.

“One time, when we were really young, he gave me literally the whole collection of Louis Vuitton handbags from that season — and filled one of them with marijuana. It was supercool.” Her love’s even got the munchies covered. “Another time, he bought me a box of chocolates that was the size of a twin bed,” said the Bronx native, who was wrapped in Cowan’s feathered transparent plastic coat. “Me and all my friends, we ate it for like two weekends straight [while] watching ‘ Sex and the City.’ ”

The 37-year-old hasn’t been scarfing any bonbons lately, however. In fact, she recently dropped 40 pounds in preparation for in vitro fertilization treatment, and says the weight loss has helped her career: “When you’re famous there’s more pressure on you to look a certain way. I have thick skin, but no one wants to be called fat or ugly.”

Remy celebrates cinnamon skin and natural bodies on “Melanin Magic,” her new track with Chris Brown. An insult on social media spurred her to create the anthem.

“I had posted a picture on my page and someone had a comment telling me they thought I would be pretty if I wasn’t so dark-skinned,” she explained. “People of darker skin tones seem to have prejudices against them and are given a harder time.

“Enough is enough,” she added. “I want to make a record that uplifts people and lets them know that there’s magic in your melanin and your brown is pretty.”
