KILO- GRAN BUST

75-yr.-old ‘dealer’ arrested in Tenn.

Some grannies spend their golden years knitting — this one allegedly spent hers living like a small-town El Chapo.

Betty Jean Jordan, 75, was busted last weekend for being the “Kingpin Granny” of Parsons, Tenn., after peddling so much morphine and oxycodone that cops found her home stuffed with illegal drugs and cash, officials said.

Jordan allegedly had more than 1,000 prescription pills — mostly opioids — and a wad of $12,000 in her possession when she was nabbed.

“She’s not in the best health, but she’s well enough to sell drugs,” charged Decatur County Sheriff Keith Byrd.

Jordan, who uses a wheelchair, didn’t go quietly when cops came to arrest her last week, pulling a page from the Chapo playbook to elude them, authorities said.

According to Byrd, officers gave her a break when they raided her home on Feb. 8, by leaving the premises and allowing her some time alone to gather her belongings.

But when officers returned to take her to jail, Jordan had gone on the lam, officials said.

“They found her the next day, and the state prosecutor added an evading-arrest charge,” Byrd said.

Since her arrest, Decatur neighbors have come forward to tell officers Jordan had been dealing for as long as 20 years.

“These are credible people that said, ‘Yeah, everybody in the community knows that she sells pills,’ ” the sheriff said.

Byrd said he couldn’t fathom why no one had said something before. “Regardless of your age, everybody knows that you’re not supposed to sell prescription drugs,” he said.

Officers are looking into where Jordan got the pills. They suspect some may be her own prescriptions.

“Much like the tentacles of an octopus, this thing is branching out in a lot of directions, we don’t know how big this thing is,” Byrd said.

Police said their probe is ongoing and that additional arrests are expected.

Jordan posted $50,000 bond, was released and will be arraigned on Feb. 26. Multiple calls to her home on Wednesday were not returned.
