Enough already with Russia

- Cindy Adams

NOW comes Jennifer Lawrence’s movie “Red Sparrow.” About Russian spies. Like there’s anything else going on there.

Enough with Russia. Shove Russia. Our government’s not interested in America — only Putin poop. The film’s director says: “With this thriller’s twists and turns, I want major plot points including the ending a secret.”

Put simply, he wants critics to keep their mouths shut-ski. I haven’t seen it. One who did says “there are degrading sex scenes. Plus Charlotte Rampling looking embarrassed. Plus Lawrence sports wigs the Muppets would refuse. Plus, it’s long and lacks suspense.”

So go. Enjoy. Bring vodka. Also TV reporters to say it’s all Hillary’s fault.

Please pay attention

DC’S new indictments mean what? Getting Russkis into this country for trial? Nyet. Anyone complicit in the underlying crime of fraud and deceit could be up for conspiracy. Next slipper to drop is who might be those conspirators . . . CHINESE New Year’s bigtime celebration was at the Jue Lan Club restaurant. Huge electric bulbs light its outside. Inside, terrific. Food’s great. Private dining rooms with round tables. Jue Lan’s in the ’20s, where once was the Limelight club, which once was a church building. So it once was spiri- tual, then magical, now it’s edible. You’ll love it . . . THOSE dissing “Call Me by Your Name” older guy’s romance with a very young guy, Armie Hammer told Hollywood Reporter: “The age of consent in Italy is 14. So, to get technical, it’s not illegal there.”

‘Night’ moves

JASON Bateman: “I like board games. I like card games. I like sports. But game nights ended when I had kids.” About his new dark comedy “Game Night,” he says: “Those nights sometimes get out of control. People die.” His favorite scene involves Rachel McAdams pulling a bullet out of him. Also, a dog gets bloody.

Nice. This definitely nonmusical film opens Friday.

Burt is back

BURT Reynolds. Now 80ish. Even fans not already in assistedliving facilities will remember this ex-sex symbol who posed naked in a magazine, who starred in ’70s and ’80s flicks like “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” and “Smokey and the Bandit,” who made love in real life and reel life to the bustiest. He’s in a new movie.

“The Last Movie Star” deals with a pal — Chevy Chase — convincing him to accept a Lifetime Achievement Award. Hits theaters March 30.

FROM Maury Rogoff: Outdoor sign by the road on the edge of a church property in West Palm Beach, Fla.: “Sign broken. Come in for message.” Only in Florida, kids, NOT in New York . . . only in senior citizen Florida.
