Pirro speeding plea

-

The verdict’s in on Judge Jeanine’s speeding case.

Former Westchester County DA and outspoken Fox News TV personality Jeanine Pirro has copped to speeding charges stemming from her November traffic bust upstate, officials said Tuesday.

A state trooper had clocked Pirro zooming at 119 mph in a 65-mph zone in her 2017 Cadillac in the town of Nichols last Nov. 19, but she pleaded guilty to doing 95 mph, according to the Tioga County Clerk’s Office.

Pirro paid a $300 fine plus a $93 surcharge and agreed to take a defensive-driving course.

The 66-year-old star of “Justice with Judge Jeanine’’ pleaded guilty through the mail and was formally sentenced on Jan. 31. She paid the fine five days later.

Pirro has said she was en route to see her sick mother, Esther Ferris, who lives in Elmira and is battling cancer, when she was pulled over.

“I had been driving for hours to visit my ailing 89-year-old mom and didn’t realize how fast I was driving,” Pirro said at the time in a statement released by Fox News. “I believe in the rule of law, and I will pay the consequences.”

It’s unclear if the lead-footed exprosecutor will receive points against her driver’s license. Under state law, driving 30 mph over the speed limit results in a six-point ding.

A conviction of 40 mph over the limit — as Pirro was ticketed — results in 11 points against a driver’s license, enough for an automatic suspension of driving privileges.
