Oscar sex scandal

- Richard Johnson rjohnson@nypost.com @HeadlineJohnson

MORE people may be speaking out against sexual misconduct in Hollywood, but the Academy Awards ceremony is still being co-produced by a notorious bad boy, Mike De Luca (inset).

Before De Luca was Oscar nominated three times (“The Social Network,” “Moneyball” and “Captain Phillips”), he caused a scandal in 1998 at a pre-Oscar party at the home of a William Morris Agency honcho.

I remember it well because I broke the story.

De Luca, then the president of New Line, was asked to leave the premises after the high-powered guests in the living room watched him in the backyard receiving oral sex from a woman. De Luca and producer Jennifer Todd, who both co-produced 2017’s awards, are trying to focus on the Oscars’ 90th anniversary, rather than Harvey Weinstein and his ilk. A spokeswoman for De Luca said his wild days are behind him: “Mike has been very open about his past substance abuse problems and his ongoing recovery.” As for the big show on Sunday, odds-maker Danny Sheridan, who has been right on 16 of 18 predictions in the top six categories over the past three years, has “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” slightly edging out “The Shape of Water” for Best Picture. He has Guillermo del

Toro (“The Shape of Water”) at 1:10 for Best Director. Gary Oldman (“Darkest Hour”) is 1:20 for Best Actor. Frances McDormand (“Three Billboards”) is 1:15 for Best Actress and her co-star Sam Rockwell 1:6 for Best Supporting Actor. Allison Janney (“I, Tonya”) is 1:5 for Best Supporting Actress.
