’Fess by ‘head in bag’ man

-

The New Yorker arrested in Japan last week after a woman’s head was found in his suitcase has allegedly confessed to disposing of her corpse — and where the other body parts were strewn across several cities.

“I abandoned the dead body of a woman who was with me,” Long Island resident Yevgeniy Vasilievich Bayraktar, 26, told police Sunday, according to the Asahi Shimbun newspaper.

The Mastic Beach man then guided police to the mountains of Osaka to the torso and arms — buried under a light layer of dirt — and to the woods in Kyoto, where her legs had been left about 16 feet apart.

The woman’s clothes remain missing, the Japan Times reported.

Bayraktar, who has been in the country since January, met up with the unnamed 27-year-old woman on Feb. 15 after the pair exchanged messages on social media, police told the Shimbun.

The pair was seen together on security footage going into Bayraktar’s Osaka vacation rental that night, and video shows him leaving the apartment multiple times carrying a large bag.

Bayraktar’s Long Island home was besieged by Japanese reporters all weekend, and neighbors were stunned by the news of his arrest.

“He seemed OK because I really didn’t talk to him,” said resident Luanne Pisano.

“These days you can’t tell who’s who.”
