Stop, Oscar thief!

takes you inside the parties

AFTER Frances McDormand was left in tears at the Academy Awards Governors Ball party when her Best Actress award was swiped — and the star later kicked up her heels at the Vanity Fair party and misplaced the statue a second time.

McDormand’s Oscar for “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” was stolen at the Governors Ball, but returned when the culprit — identified by Los Angeles police as Terry Bryant (below) — was reportedly stopped by a photographer who was there working for the event’s chef, Wolfgang Puck. Gary Oldman then reportedly handed it back to her.

McDormand, 60, arrived at Vanity Fair’s starry party in high spirits. She playfully smooched “Wonder Woman” Gal Gadot on the red carpet before heading inside, where she joked around with fellow winner Kobe Bryant, then cozied up to pro skier Lindsey Vonn. Having already lost her Oscar once, McDormand got so carried away in celebration again that, on the terrace, she was heard again asking, “Where’s the Oscar?” Thankfully, one of her entourage had it.

Then, McDormand, gliding past well-wishers with a bucket of fried chicken under one arm and her Oscar secure, set off to find 17year-old Olympic snowboard sensation Chloe Kim, whom she’d mentioned in her acceptance speech.

Once she reached the party’s Apple Music dance room, with a DJ there but no sign of Kim, she was encircled on the dance floor, and McDormand showed off some spectacular moves, including “the robot.” Then, she was tackled by her co-star — and fellow Oscar winner — Sam Rockwell for a partner-dance number that could only be described as “tango meets ‘Thriller.’ ”

Meanwhile, Terry Bryant — who was arrested Sunday on suspicion of felony grand theft, with bail set at $20,000 — seems to have pulled similar stunts before. He posted a video on Facebook with McDormand’s Oscar claiming he’d won the honor himself. “What’s up babies . . . my team got this tonight, this is mine,” he says in a video uploaded on Sunday. “Who wants to tell me congratulations?” he asked. “Where’s the

Jimmy Kimmel party at? I am about to go to so many parties.” He’s posted past images holding awards, from last year’s Oscars to a Screen Actors Guild Award and an MTV Movie Award, and claims, using the moniker “DJ Matari,” to have attended Michael Jackson’s funeral.
