The YES Network’s revolving booth will have a different look next season.

Ken Singleton, who has been a Yankees analyst since 1997, announced Monday morning that this would be his final year with the network.

“This will be my final season of calling baseball games,” Singleton wrote on Twitter. “I’ve been play- ing or talking baseball ever since I was 4 years old. It’s time for this enjoyable ride to end. Thanks fans for allowing me into your homes & businesses. It’s been my pleasure.”

Singleton is the longesttenured Yankees analyst, part of a rotating group that includes Paul O’Neill, David Cone, John Flaherty and Al Leiter. Singleton sometimes take over playby-play duties when Michael Kay is off.

Kay is not giving up on getting Singleton to return, though.

“I’m finding this hard to accept,” Kay wrote on Twitter. “I’ve known about it for awhile but I’ve been trying to change his mind. I’m not giving up in my quest. Twitterverse, please tell Kenny he should not step away following season. Too much more to give!”
