A rainbow in the mountains over Taiwan in November 2016 that lasted a record-breaking nine hours has made it into the Guinness Book of Records.
“It was amazing . . . it felt like a gift from the sky . . . it’s so rare,’’ said Chou Kunhsuan, a professor in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the island’s Chinese Culture University.
The former first-place rainbow display lasted a mere six hours over Yorkshire, England, in 1994.
