Infamy will make me a stud, brags Cruz bro

- Max Jaeger and Reuven Fenton

The brother of Nikolas Cruz, who gunned down 17 people inside a Florida high school, was overheard in jail bragging to his sibling about how many girls they could bed thanks to the shooter’s infamy, prosecutors said Tuesday.

“Probably most concerning is his contact that he has had with his brother in the jail since his incarceration,” Assistant State Attorney Saranell Murphys said of Zachary Cruz (top inset), who was arrested Monday for trespassing on the grounds of Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS in Parkland, the scene of the Feb. 14 massacre.

“He has been heard and observed discussing how popular his brother (bottom inset) is now, that his face is everywhere and his name is national,” she continued.

“There is discussion of starting some sort of pen-pal or fan club and how many girls he is capable of attracting, referring to his brother Nikolas.”

Broward County Judge Kim Theresa Mollica ordered Zachary to stay away from Nikolas and the school campus. He must also wear an ankle monitor and submit to a psych exam. She ordered him held on a $500,000 bond.

Zachary Cruz’s lawyer Joseph Kimok said he was being held to too high a standard, “because of who he is related to.”

Meanwhile, Rocxanne Deschamps — who took care of the boys after their adoptive mother died of pneumonia Nov. 1 — broke her silence Tuesday, detailing the three times in one month that she called 911 on Nikolas and pleaded with cops to take away the teen’s guns.

“I did everything I could to warn law enforcement what could happen,” she said.

She would not comment on Zachary’s arrest.
