Tiffany Trump splits with beau

-

PRESIDENT Donald Trump’s youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump, has split with her longtime boyfriend Ross Mechanic.

Sources have confirmed to Page Six that Tiffany and Ross, who had dated for just over two years, split after she moved to Washington, DC, to attend Georgetown Law.

One source told us of Trump’s only child with second wife Marla Maples, “Tiffany and Ross’ relationship had become pretty serious, but they quietly broke up late last year. It was all about her moving to DC. Ross didn’t want her to go there without him, as he lives in New York. He wanted to be with her 24/7, and with Tiffany away in another city, it became a huge disagreement, and they decided to go their separate ways.” The source added, “I think it was hard for Ross to understand [that] Tiffany needs to put her future first. She isn’t dating anyone else, she is just really focused on law school, her studies and becoming her own person.” She celebrated her return to school in January with an Instagram picture of herself in Vegas wearing a very un-lawyer-like short tiger-print sequined dress.

Tiffany, 24, met Ross, 23 and the son of powerful New York real estate lawyer Jonathan Mechanic, while they were both at the University of Pennsylvania. They were first pictured together on his Instagram in 2015, heading to a society ball. The couple became inseparable; Tiffany and her mother also grew close to his family and would summer at their home in the Hamptons. They attended Trump’s inauguration together.

Ross, who has a degree in computer science, is a data engineer at Cadre, a New York-based real estate investment startup founded by Jared Kushner, the husband of Ivanka Trump.

Ross didn’t respond for comment and his father declined to speak on his behalf. Jonathan Mechanic is a partner at NYC law firm Fried Frank, and, after Mechanic helped Gucci move its store into Trump Tower, Donald Trump gave him a copy of his book “The Art of the Deal,” with the inscription, “To the greatest real estate lawyer in the world, best wishes, Donald.”
