Handy gal pal’s jail visit

The convicted cop-killer who spent more than three weeks on the run following a 2015 prison break has a new “Shawskank” — a female groupie who was caught in a sex act with him during a visit earlier this month, The Post has learned.

David Sweat (inset), who’s serving a life sentence at the maximum-security prison in Attica, got himself into new trouble with the aid of girlfriend Frances Malanik, sources familiar with the incident said Thursday.

Sweat, 37, was in the visiting area for Attica’s Special Housing Unit — where he’s being held in solitary confinement — when a correction officer spotted him fondling himself through his state-issued, darkgreen prison pants on March 8, sources said.

Malanik, 45, then reached through a window in the metal partition separating them to give Sweat a hand, sources said.

Officers immediately ended the visit, escorting Malanik out of the prison and tossing Sweat back into his cell, sources said.

Sweat was slapped with disciplinary charges over the incident and on Tuesday was punished with 60 days without visits from Malanik, sources said.

Malanik has been visiting Sweat since writing to him following his infamous escape — and moved to Ovid, in the Finger Lakes region, to be closer to him.

Last year, she helped Sweat score special privileges by telling authorities he had devised another escape plan while locked up at the Five Points Correctional Facility in upstate Romulus, according to The New York Times.

In exchange for detailing the scheme, Sweat was rewarded with an extra visit each week and the ability to receive food packages and take photos with Malanik and her 6-year-old daughter, the Times said.

In June 2015, Sweat and another convicted murderer, Richard Matt, pulled a real-life version of “The Shawshank Redemption” by busting out of prison in Dannemora using tools smuggled to them by jail worker Joyce Mitchell. She earned the nickname “Shawskank” when sources revealed she had sex with both inmates.

A Border Patrol tactical team fatally shot Matt, 49, when he refused orders to drop a stolen shotgun in a wooded area near Malone, about 35 miles from the prison, on June 26, 2105.

Sweat was captured three days later by a State Police sergeant who shot and wounded him when Sweat ran toward woods near the Canadian border after being spotted jogging along a road in Constable about 10 miles from where Matt was killed. Malanik could not be reachedached for comment.
