JULIA'S LOVELY SHADE OF GRAY
Out and about after cancer op
“Veep” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus appears well on the road to recovery as she shops in Beverly Hills.
The beloved “Seinfeld” actress, who has been battling breast cancer, was looking healthy and relaxed carrying a leather tote bag back to her car from Saks Fifth Avenue on Wednesday.
Louis-Dreyfus, 57, who has let her natural gray show during her treatment, revealed in September that she has breast cancer and began chemotherapy later in the fall.
The New York City native, a perennial Emmy winner, finished chemo in January and underwent surgery in February.
“Hoorah!” she wrote on Instagram on Feb. 14. “Great doctors, great results, feeling happy and ready to rock after surgery. Hey cancer, ‘F- -k you!’ ”
She has stayed out of the limelight but has apparently been getting around, with an Instagram photo documenting a wildlife encounter during a hike Tuesday.
“Snake on a hike. That’s one way to get your heart rate up. #cardio,” she wrote.
Producers have delayed filming the seventh and final season of HBO’s “Veep while she finishes the cancer treatment.
Her co-star Tony Hale told Entertainment Tonight last month that Louis-Dreyfus is doing well.
“She’s great!” he said. “She’s going through her own journey, and, man, we’ve been talking off and on. But we’re going to be ready to shoot in the summer.”
The season is set to air in 2019, according to Entertainment Weekly.
A rep for Louis-Dreyfus declined to comment.
