Cohen's perfect Stormy

- Marisa Schultz

It’s going to be a Stormy Monday for President Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.

Stormy Daniels will be at a Manhattan federal court hearing that Cohen is required to attend, the porn actress’ attorney said Sunday.

“She’s going to attend at 2 o’clock on Monday,” Michael Avenatti told CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I think Monday afternoon could prove to be very interesting.”

Daniels won’t be offering testimony but will be present in the courtroom for Cohen’s hearing related to the FBI raid of his home and office.

Asked if her appearance is a ploy to get inside Cohen’s head, Avenatti denied it.

“It’s intended to send the message that this is a very, very serious matter for her,” Avenatti said.

Lawyers for Cohen were in court Friday trying to stop federal prosecutors from rummaging through the documents they seized.

Judge Kimba Wood was displeased that Cohen himself was not there to answer her questions about his law clients, and ordered him to turn over a list of them in person by Monday and answer questions about his practice.

Cohen’s office, apartment and hotel were raided last Monday under federal search warrants following a referral from special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Among other things, the feds were looking for documents related to the $130,000 payoff Cohen says he made to Daniels in the days before the 2016 election.

She claims it was hush money for her to keep quiet about an affair she had with President Trump. She’s suing to void the notell agreement.

Lawyers for Trump and Cohen say the raids were inappropriate, unnecessary and a violation of attorney-client privilege.
