Offset ‘shafted’ Cardi B’s rep

-

CARDI B’s fiancé, Offset, convinced her to ditch her manager — landing her in the middle of a $10 million lawsuit, according to the suit.

The red-hot rapper’s former manager, Shaft, claims that Migos star Offset guided Cardi toward his own managers and convinced her that Shaft — real name Klenord Raphael — was “robbing” her.

A bombshell suit filed late Thursday claims that Shaft discovered Cardi and turned her into a megastar. But then Offset’s managers Kevin Lee and Pierre Thomas, as well as Cardi’s publicist and makeup artist Patientce Foster, plotted to steal her just as her career was exploding, convincing Cardi that Shaft was mismanaging and “robbing” her. Cardi soured on Shaft, the suit adds, after a “campaign of lies against him.”

It claims that in December 2017 — two years after Shaft signed a management contract with her — Cardi sent Shaft a text saying, “I’m not f - - king with you nomore you dead ass doing me Grimmey [sic]” — ending her business relationship with Shaft because she believed he was being dishonest.

Meanwhile, Offset also texted Shaft: “[You] better stop play acting like u don’t know u taking her s - - t from her u a snake. U can’t hide from me N - - - A and u not bout to play my WIFE.”

The suit — filed in the Southern District of New York — claims that Lee, Thomas and Foster, who had also worked with Offset, realized that the “Bodak Yellow” rapper “would be an epic star with enormous earning potential.” Shaft claims they convinced her to breach her contract with him. He’s also suing Cardi for defamation, saying she accused him of robbery, and he’s suing Lee, Thomas and Foster for tortious interference for convincing her to work with them instead. Foster declined to comment. Cardi B’s attorney Paul LiCalsi told us, “After a full investigation of the facts, we will be responding to these allegations in detail in court.” Lee and Thomas couldn’t be reached for comment.
