Looking healthy amid Nxivm furor
Former “Dynasty” star Catherine Oxenberg is worried sick over the wellbeing of her daughter, an alleged Nxivm sex-cult “slave,” but the young woman looked fit as a fiddle on Saturday — because she’s finally able to eat, an insider told The Post.
India Oxenberg appeared healthy as she spent a day at work at the East Village vegetarian restaurant PlantMade, where she is a manager.
Oxenberg, 26, is finally off the cult’s restrictive, 800-calorie daily limit, and that could be why she’s looking well, according to Nxivm whistleblower Frank Parlato.
“She had been stuck on an insane diet” when the cult’s leaders, Keith Raniere and “Smallville” actress Allison Mack, were allegedly involved, Parlato said.
Raniere and Mack are charged with multiple counts of sex trafficking in connection with the cult.
“If you had 900 calories in a day, you were defiant — if you were caught you would be given extra work, or encouraged to vomit.”
“She’s looking good now because she’s finally eating now. She can eat away.”
Catherine Oxenberg, 56, of California, has been an outspoken critic of Nxivm and has helped hundreds of members find the courage to leave, Parlato said.
“It’s wrenching her heart . . . her daughter is still in this horrifying cult,” he claimed.
Still, the star is relieved her daughter appears to be healthier, he added.
Asked about her worried family members Saturday, India Oxenburg said, “I talk to them every day.”
But “India has no contact with her mother now,” Parlato said.
“The only intermediary is her grandmother,” Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia, he said.
“India deigns to call her grandmother once or twice a week but won’t tell the grandmother where she is.”
Asked whether she wanted to comment on the federal probe of the cult and if she was in any way involved, India said, “No, you can talk to my lawyer, though.”
Lawyer Carla DiMare would only say, “India is a remarkable young woman . . . She’s just a young woman and she’s being thrust into this. She’s a remarkable woman, and she’s a great person.”
