Say YES to ‘Path’ series

-

YES, on May 8, returns “Homegrown: The Path to Pinstripes,” a simple-themed but superbly produced up-close-and-personal show about life and lifestyles among Yankees minor leaguers. Last year’s included the moments when Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders Clint Frazier and Jordan Montgomery were called up.

Neither do I.

John Sterling never tires of his self-promotional, highly descriptive and intentionally dishonest, “It is high! It is far!” home run calls, those that follow with word that it was a line drive that just cleared the wall.

Now in her sixth season with YES, it’s time Meredith Marakovits began to ask some questions of Yankees to which she — and we — don’t already know the answers.

Your tax dollars at work: SUNYAlbany’s women’s golf team has six members, one each recruited from California, Hawaii, Canada, France, Iceland and England.

Nobody asked me but ... the Winnipeg Jets are a worthy long shot to win the Stanley Cup. Tremendous team speed. (Phil Mushnick’s column returns May 18.)
