Calif. organic eatery taking dip in Seaport for …

heard of farmto-table restaurants — now get ready for pier-topier.

Malibu Farm, a renowned oceanfront wharf eatery on the Pacific Coast Highway west of Los Angeles, plans to open its first New York outpost on the new Seaport District’s Pier 17 next year, sources told The Post.

The restaurant will have around 6,000 square feet on the first floor, adjacent to planned new eateries by powerhouse New York chefs Jean-Georges Vongerichten, David Chang and Andrew Carmellini.

The new Pier 17 is the centerpiece of Howard Hughes Corp.’s $731 million Seaport redevelopment that also includes the new Fulton Market, which is home to the iPic Theaters, and new storefronts on Fulton and Front streets.

HHC expects to open the pier’s public attractions in stages, starting this summer with a sprawling rooftop performance venue and café.

Malibu Farm founder Helene Henderson opened her first restaurant four years ago. She debuted a Malibu Farm last weekend at the Eden Roc hotel in Miami Beach.

But the Manhattan edition will have the added allure of being on an actual pier like the original, albeit an all-new, modern one.

“I’ve always felt that the location and the experience of dining are as important as the food, and Pier 17’s breathtaking location will help us create one of the most iconic waterfront destinations in New York City,” Henderson told Realty Check.

Malibu Farm’s menu will emphasize the same fresh, local and organic selections as the original does in California.
