Weird BUT true

Love is a battlefield. An Iowa man wearing only his underwear and clutching a bottle of vegetable oil was arrested Thursday for chasing his girlfriend — who tried to shoot him with a Taser, cops said.

The woman allegedly refused to leave the man’s Council Bluffs house, so he bit her arm. Chaos ensued.

The man intended to dump the vegetable oil on the woman, cops said.

LSDon’t. Santa Cruz, Calif., police officials warned residents to watch out for highly potent LSD after officers encountered several people running around naked and shouting about seeing rainbows and flying unicorns.

The department is looking for the LSD supplier.

An elderly Chinese man was lonely — so he put himself up for adoption.

“Lonely old man in his 80s. Strong-bodied. Can shop, cook and take care of himself,” Han Zicheng of Tianjin wrote on a flyer last December. “I won’t go to a nursing home. My hope is that a kind-hearted person or family will adopt me, nourish me through old age and bury my body when I’m dead.”

But he was still looking for the right family when he died a few months later.

Meth-use 101. Parents were stunned after a New Zealand high school gave students a pamphlet with instructions on how to use methamphetamine.

The leaflet, titled “10 ways to keep well if using meth,” suggested drug users brush their teeth after eating and “if using a glass pipe, clean the inside regularly.”

Massey HS in Auckland said the pamphlet was taken “out of context.”

This mite be a concern. Dr. Keshini Parbhu, of the Orlando Eye Institute, says individually glued eyelash extensions can attract mites if they’re not clean enough.

“They burrow to the base of the lash follicles, and they feed off this material,” Parbhu said. “Infection can set in if they overpopulate.”
