Report: Bucks to interview Hammon

According to an ESPN report, Spurs assistant Becky Hammon will interview for the Bucks’ vacant head coaching gig.

Hammon, the NBA’s first female assistant coach, will become the first woman to interview for a head coaching job.

Current coach Joe Prunty will be among those interviewed after the former assistant led the Bucks to a 21-16 record following the firing in late January of Jason Kidd. The Bucks said then that Prunty would get a shot to keep the job.

Bucks GM Jon Horst said the search for the team’s next coach is underway with interviews starting as early as this weekend.
