Networks bow out with weddings and breakups

MAY is the month of spring cleaning as broadcast TV shows wrap up to give way for the summer slate of quiz programs and lighter fare. Here are the season finales to look out for in the coming weeks.

THE BIG BANG THEORY ( May 10, 8 p.m., CBS)

In the Season 11 climax, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) finally tie the knot. Kathy Bates and magician Teller will guest as Amy’s parents. Mark Hamill will appear in a cameo.

AP BIO (May 10, 8:30 p.m., NBC)

The finale will feature a school dance in which Principal Durbin (Patton Oswalt) encourages faculty member Jack (Glenn Howerton) to give a speech to the students before he departs for Stanford. Will he actually leave?

LUCIFER (May 14, 8 p.m., Fox)

The formerly immortal Cain (Tom Welling) frames Lucifer (Tom Ellis) for murder. Will Lucifer save himself in the end?

BLACK-ISH (May 15, 9 p.m., ABC)

As season 4 comes to a close, Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow (Tracee Ellis Ross, inset) are living apart. Will they reconcile, or will they get divorced?

RIVERDALE (May 16, 8 p.m., The CW)

In the Season 2 closer, the identity of serial killer The Black Hood will be revealed. Is it Betty’s father? Meanwhile, Veronica (Camilia Menzes) will have a change of heart regarding her support of her father, Hiram (Mark Consuelos).

DESIGNATED SURVIVOR ( May 16, 10 p.m., ABC)

Season 2 of the tense political drama has been heating up as attorney Ethan West (Michael J. Fox) investigates President Kirkman’s (Kiefer Sutherland) past. The finale will reveal that somebody in his inner circle has betrayed him. Good God.

ARROW ( May 17, 9 p.m., The CW)

In the Season 6 finale, “Arrow” is filled with returns and departures. Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) from “Legends of Tomorrow” returns to Star City and her father Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), who’s been on the show since the pilot, is departing in what’s sure to be an emotional send-off, though details are under wraps.
