Ex-flack’s ‘predator’ slap at Klein

The former press secretary to Bronx state Sen. Jeff Klein unloaded on her former boss Monday, referring to him as “an accused predator” in an extraordinary exchange on Twitter.

Candice Giove, a former mouthpiece for Klein (right) and his recently disbanded rogue Independent Democratic Conference, now works as a press aide for the Senate GOP majority.

“I’m proud to join the GOP ship now. Hope you enjoy working for an accused predator. Will you be updating us on the status of that?” she tweeted to Senate Democratic spokesman Mike Murphy.

In January, a former Senate staffer accused Klein of forcibly kissing her outside an Albany bar in 2015. He denies the claim, which is being investigated by the Joint Commission on Public Ethics.

“Why do Dems protect sexual harassers now? Could you explain,” Giove added in a follow-up tweet to Murphy.

He replied, “Ohhh we don’t. Thanks though! Should we comb through some of your past quotes?”

Giove, a former Post reporter, said in an interview Monday night, “Klein is accused of sexual harass-sment — plain and simple.”

Klein spokeswoman Barbara Bran-rancaccio said, “Jeff Klein has denied thehe al-allegations ... Many people workedrked closely with Candice when these claimsaims surfaced and at no time did she ever ex-express any concern that the allegationsns were true. In fact, she clearly statedd publicly and privately that she did not believe it.”
