A dying stabbing victim slipped off a stretcher and was awkwardly manhandled by first responders early Tuesday in front of stunned onlookers, video of the mishap shows.

Damion Gilbert, 18, was knifed in the torso less than two miles from his home during a fight with another person at Dekalb Avenue near East 212th Street in Norwood just before 12:30 a.m., according to authorities.

Cops found a bleeding Gilbert lying face up on the sidewalk.

In grainy cellphone footage obtained by The Post, paramedics and NYPD officers are seen adjusting the stretcher before they lift the bloodied and barely conscious teen onto the bed.

The gurney then partially collapses.

“What happened to him . . . watch . . . no!” a bystander can be heard asking as the victim’s head falls back, revealing his bloodsoaked T-shirt.

As one technician then tries to move the man by his feet, those standing by his head appear to walk away — leaving the victim’s body flailing and nearly falling to the ground before they can catch him.

Gilbert, a resident of East 220th Street, was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to cops.

Police are still looking for his attacker.

The EMTs that responded have been restricted from handling calls while a review of the incident is underway, an FDNY spokesman told The Post.

Meanwhile, Gilbert’s family members gathered Tuesday and were devastated by the young man’s death.

“He was a wonderful big brother. He was a wonderful son,” said Gilbert’s mother, Natasha Davis, 37, noting that Gilbert was a player for the youth football team the Bronx Knights.

“He was loved by many people . . . He has touched many hearts,” she added. “We are hurting. He will definitely be missed . . . I don’t think this pain will ever go away.”

The heartbroken mom called Gilbert her “teacher.”

“He taught me how to be a parent,” she said.

Another family member said that Gilbert most recently worked at a nearby Dollar Tree.
