Who Says Jasper Park’s A Boring Honeymoon Site?

THE ISSUE: A report that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will honeymoon at Jasper National Park.

- Ireneus Prystajecky

The headline writer has never been to the Fairmont in Jasper or doesn’t appreciate the beauty of nature if he/ she thinks it’s boring.

Either way, what a boring article. Marie Keller Pacific Palisades, Calif.

It is their honeymoon. Let the kids enjoy their own company — in peace. Peter J. Peirano Ridgewood, NJ There is no evidence behind the claim that Alberta, Canada, is the

“World’s Most Boring Place.” On the contrary, it seems to be a sentimental spot for the newlyweds to honeymoon. Personally, I would love to visit. Robb Rae Leeds, United Kingdom

Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta, Canada, is the most beautiful, scenic outdoor area ever. Whoever wrote the headline did a great disservice to the Banff area. Barg Guenterberg Dayton, Ohio

I’d like to complain about an article’s online headline: “Prince Harry, Meghan Markle to Honeymoon in the World’s Most Boring Place” (Page Six, May 28).

You might assume that Jasper National Park, where the Jasper Park Lodge is located, is a boring place, if you’ve never been there or if nature is not your thing.

But it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It’s part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site. If it was good enough for previous generations of royalty, as your article mentions, then maybe it’s good enough for the current ones.

Especially of note is the drive along Highway 93, the Icefields Parkway, that runs south of the resort where the royal couple will reportedly be staying, past the Columbia Icefield, the largest grouping of glaciers in North America south of the Arctic.
