First Lady Melania Trump re-emerged at the White House Monday evening, making her first appearance since her hospitalization more than three weeks ago.

In a black dress and black heels, she walked unassisted into the Gold Star Families Memorial Day Reception honoring families of service members killed in the line of duty.

The event was closed to the press, but one guest, who happens to be a journalist, caught Melania’s entrance on video.

President Trump addressed his wife’s hospitalization for a kidney procedure in remarks to the more than 40 Gold Star families in attendance.

“Melania had a little problem a couple weeks ago, but she wouldn’t miss this for anything,” he said, according The Daily Caller’s Jena Greene.

Greene was attending in honor of her father, Marine Lt. Col. David S. Greene, who was killed in Iraq in 2004 when his helicopter was shot down.

The president joked about speculation that Melania had left him but assured the guests they were still together.

“Isn’t that right, honey?” he added, according to Greene.

Melania, who had last been seen May 10, later tweeted photos of the ceremony showing her with her hubby in the front row (pictured). Vice President Mike Pence and wife Karen were also present.

“It was a privilege to welcome Gold Star Families to the White House today to recognize our Nation’s fallen heroes and their families,” the first lady said in a statement. “To all those who have lost loved ones in service to our country, our nation grieves with you.”
