Prof’s racist rant

- By LIA EUSTACHEWICH leustachewich@nypost.com

A white Rutgers University professor railed against white children as “little Caucasian a--holes” in a racist Facebook rant that called them out for being privileged.

James Livingston blew his lid last Thursday after grabbing a burger from restaurant Harlem Shake on West 124th Street, according to the Daily Caller.

“OK, officially, I now hate white people. I am a white people, for God’s sake, but can we keep them — us — us out of my neighborhood?” Livingston, 69, wrote in the post, which has since been deleted.

He said the restaurant was “overrun with little Caucasian a--holes who know their parents will approve of anything they do.”

He continued, “Slide around the floor, you little s--thead, sing loudly, you unlikely moron. Do what you want, nobody here is gonna restrict your right to be white.”

Livingston, who teaches history at Rutgers, was apparently so disgusted over what he saw, he declared, “I hereby resign from my race. F--k these people. Yeah, I know, it’s about access to my dinner. F--k you, too.”

The post was flagged on Facebook, which took it down for “violating community standards on hate speech,” according to the professor’s page.

“I’ve just been told by FB that my rant v, white people makes me dangerous, socially media speaking, even though I’m a white people, or person, or whatever,” he wrote.

Livingston clarified his offensive diatribe in another post the next day.

“I just don’t want little Cauca- sians overrunning my life, as they did last night,” he wrote. “Please God, remand them to the suburbs, where they and their parents can colonize every restaurant, all the while pretending that the idiotic indulgence of their privilege signifies cosmopolitan — you know, as in sophisticated ‘European’ — commitments.”

Livingston, who’s published a number of books, began his career “as an economic historian writing about banking reform in the progressive era,” according to his biography on Rutgers’ Web site.

The Lombard, Ill., native said his comments have attracted 30 angry e-mails and messages, including “three promising bodily harm.”

“One guy even left me a phone message, which I took as a warm and personal approach to the matter,” he wrote Sunday. “And the designations! ‘Racist F--kstain’ is my fave so far. Let’s see if this goes through.”

Reached by phone, Livingston was notably tight-lipped.

“I really don’t want to comment,” he said. “It’s out of control.”
