Sun sets on Super Saturday

IT’S the end of an era for Super Saturday. The designer bargain bonanza — a staple on the Hamptons summer social calendar — is moving to Manhattan and getting an overhaul, Page Six has exclusively learned.

The luxury garage sale, which has taken place out east for 20 years, is even changing its name, and will take place over two days in the city, Sept. 27 and 28.

Organizers on their Web site are calling the event “Super September.” They’re so far being tight-lipped about a new NYC venue — but we hear one possibility is the Javits Center.

The event benefits the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance.

The pop-up bazaar — normally held at Nova’s Ark Project in Water Mill near a picturesque field of horses — is usually attended by stars like Kelly Ripa, Donna Karan and Beth Stern.

A rep for the event commented, “OCRFA has been proud to host Super Saturday in Water Mill, NY, for the past 20 years, and are incredibly grateful for the longtime support of our partners, sponsors and supporters. As with many established events that evolve over time and find renewed success, OCRFA is excited to restyle our annual event, and relocate it to Manhattan for fall 2018.”

Reps have been mum on why the event is pulling up stakes in the Hamptons.

The event has been a Page Six mainstay, predictably providing Hamptons hullabaloo.

At last year’s event, the kiddie couture brand Bonpoint offered clothes at $5, causing a scene one shopper described as “like a bar brawl, except with women in designer clothes.”

In 2016, Page Six spotted Rudy Giuliani — there with his wife at the time, Judith — who told us he wasn’t expecting a place in Donald Trump’s administration. If only we’d had a crystal ball.

And in 2014, the event narrowly avoided disaster when thieves broke into a storage facility in Hauppauge, LI, and stole a trailer full of designer duds!
