Rapper’s fans cling to ‘fake suicide’ UNABLE TO XXXCEPT HE'S DEAD

- By KATE SHEEHY

Rapper XXXTentacion led such a wild and violent life that on Tuesday, some of his fans still didn’t believe he was really murdered the day before.

The 20-year-old hip-hop star had been arrested starting in middle school for everything from armed robbery to drugs to weapons possession. He was attacked at concerts and at the time of his murder was awaiting trial for choking and beating his girlfriend, threatening to cut out her tongue and rape her with a barbecue fork.

He also pulled a stunt last year in which he made it seem as if he’d hanged himself — only to be forced to post an online video soon after denying he had died.

‘Everybody gotta chill the f--k out!’’ the rapper, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, said at the time. “I’m not dead.”

Authorities say XXXTentacion was definitely fatally shot at around 4 p.m. Monday while sitting behind the wheel of his black BMW i8 sports car outside a Deerfield Beach, Fla., motorcycle dealership.

His killer wore a red mask and swiped a Louis Vuitton bag from the car before speeding off in a black Dodge Journey along with a hooded male cohort, according to TMZ.

Cops have no one in custody. XXXTentacion’s attorney, David Bogenschutz, said detectives believe the hiphop star was shot in a “random robbery” after he went to a bank to withdraw money for a new motorcycle.

“I think the determination was that he wanted to buy a motorcycle,” Bogenschutz said. “But [detectives] aren’t discounting any theory.”

The Florida-born rapper had signed a $6 million deal with Capitol Records in 2016 and closed on a $1.4 million home in Parkland in November. His album “?” debuted in the No. 1 spot on Billboard in March.

Regardless of what cops say, some XXXTentacion’s fans doubted his death. Many said a blurry online photo of his corpse didn’t show the tattoo on his forehead or any blood.

“He’s not dead,’’ a Twitter user wrote. “He has an album coming out in the next few days/week called ‘ No Pulse’. It’s to promote the album & to prove that no one cares about people until they’re dead.”

Either way, rappers Soldier Kidd and Soldier Jojo were forced to post online videos denying they were involved in XXXTentacion’s murder after it surfaced that they had posed with a red mask and gotten takeout food near the crime scene the same day as the slaying.
