Ayton excited to build Suns chemistry

- By FRED KERBER with Zach Braziller

Deandre Ayton knew where he was going all along — to Phoenix, where he conducted his only predraft workout. And he knew he would get a shot to provide the Suns with a potentially blistering two-man game combo with Devin Booker.

“Basketball is really changing, so the two-man game is really hard to stop,” Ayton said. “Having a guard like Devin Booker, who can really score, and me being a big man who can really pick-and-pop, very versatile, that’s very dangerous. The team in general is a very young and hungry team. We just have to stick together, get a great chemistry and start a winning legacy in Phoenix.”

The Suns also landed Mi- kal Bridges of Villanova through a trade.

The day after claiming he wanted “to be the greatest player to ever play the game of basketball,” Duke’s Marvin Bagley III, the No. 2-overall pick, admitted he has stuff to work on: “Everything. It’s a lot of things I think I should get better at.”

Seton Hall forward Angel Delgado agreed to a twoway contract with the Clip- pers after going undrafted, Yahoo Sports reported. Teammate Desi Rodriguez also will play with the Clippers in the NBA Summer League, he told The Post.

Combo guard Jerome Robinson, who went 13th to the Clippers, became the first lottery pick for Boston College. And Chandler Hutchison, who went to the Bulls at 22, was the first firstround pick from Boise State.
