A California judge has dismissed a misdemeanor domestic abuse conviction over the objections of prosecutors against former Kings defenseman Slava Voynov, a move that could clear a path for his return to the NHL. He pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge after police said he punched, kicked and choked his wife in 2015.
Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston, 24, has reportedly parted ways with his agents Greg Genske and Kenny Felder after the NFL suspended him for three games following a 2016 sexual assault accusation. Basketball’s international governing body has opened disciplinary hearings against Australia and the Philippines after a wild brawl that included Bucks forward Thon Maker broke out in their Basketball World Cup qualifying game in Manila, Philippines. A total of 13 players were ejected after the melee that began in the third quarter of Australia’s 89-53 victory following a collision in the lane.
