HAVE A LI'L AIR OF THE DOG!

JetBlue crew saves sick pup

- By NATALIE MUSUMECI

This in-flight service was a real breath of fresh air for one lucky dog.

Crew members aboard a JetBlue flight used an oxygen mask to save a French bulldog that went into respiratory distress in midair.

Three-year-old Darcy and her owners were flying from Orlando, Fla., to Worcester, Mass., Thursday when the pup’s tongue and gums turned blue while she was inside her carrier.

Two flight attendants, Diane Asher and Rennaud Fenster, first brought over ice in bags for DDarcy, and when that failed to help, they came with the mask and an oxygen tank, according to owner Michele Burt.

Photos that spread over social media Monday show Darcy in a window seat with the yellow mask held to her snout by Burt (right).

“I placed the mask over her face, and within a few minutes she became alert, and after a short time she didn’t want the mask,” Burt, from Westminster, Mass., wrote in a thank-you nnote to JetBlue that was posted on Facebook.

“I believe Renaud and Diane saved a life, some may reduce thehe value of the life bebecause Darcy is a canine, I do not.”

Burt — who was also with hubby Steven and their two other pups — went on to say the two flight attendants “were the helpers today.”

Fenster, who took a pic with the pup (left), told ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Monday that in his 15 years of working for airlines, he had “never seen anything like this.”

JetBlue said in a statement, “We all want to make sure everyone has a safe and comfortable fight, including those with four legs.”
