Analyst ‘trashes’ boss’ office in parting shot

- By CARLETON ENGLISH cenglish@nypost.com

An irate sell-side analyst appears to have chosen a memorable way to resign — by uncorking a champagne bottle and spraying it around his boss’ office and then pouring the bubbly on the floor around the rest of the office.

A video of the after-hours rampage was posted to an Instagram account belonging to Francesco Pellegrino, formerly of Sidoti & Co.

At one point during his going-away outburst, believed to have occurred in June, Pellegrino prints out a succinct letter of resignation, “F--k you I quit” — and leaves it on his boss’ desk.

“May the bridges I burn light the way,” he writes in a caption in the three-minute video, captured by a source’s smartphone. The camera then turns to show Pellegrino taking a swig of champagne from the bottle before spilling some over the front of his shirt.

Music is heard in the background of many of the video’s clips, including Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” and Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch’s “Good Vibrations.”

In one vignette, a can of White Claw spiked seltzer is seen at the bottom of an office fish tank. Pellegrino calls himself the “White Claw King of NYC” on his Instagram profile.

It was not clear what sparked Pellegrino’s rampaging anger. A source close to the firm said Pellegrino felt he was underpaid.

Attempts to reach the analyst on Monday were not successful. His Instagram account on Monday was deactivated.

Pellegrino’s regulatory record shows he left the firm in June. Peter Sidoti, chief executive of the firm, confirmed Monday that Pellegrino is no longer with the company.

When asked by The Post about the trashing of the office, Sidoti said, “I don’t even know how to respond,” before hanging up the phone.
