America’s Care Crisis: Is Medicare for All a Cure?
I think the availability of Medicare for All is a good idea, but it should not be forced on everyone. If you are happy with your coverage, fine. Keep it (“The Socialist Moment,” Rich Lowry, PostOpinion, July 31).
And Medicare for All certainly should not be free of premiums and copays. There should be a determined monthly premium that doesn’t bankrupt the system. For those who truly cannot afford the premiums, there could be some help.

There seems to be a concerted effort by the far right to save their tax cuts at a cost to Americans with explosive out-ofcontrol health-care costs, which few people can now afford.

Many people put up with dead-end jobs that pay substandard, stagnant wages because of employer-provided health insurance. This stifles mobility.
Affordable health insurance should be enjoyed by every individual and family. It’s about time that this country addresses the issue of health care by looking at Medicare for All as well as a full-blown public option.
