Nail-salon melee gal off the hook

Brooklyn prosecutors on Wednesday dropped assault charges against the woman whose botched eyebrow wax sparked a racially charged brawl at a nail salon earlier this month.

They determined that Christina Thomas should be let off the hook after they interviewed witnesses and watched surveillance footage of the skirmish at the 888 Happy Red Apple Nails shop in East Flatbush,

“After reviewing all the evidence, interviewing more than a dozen witnesses and analyzing video footage, we dismissed the charges today against Ms. Thomas in the interest of justice,” Brook- lyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said, after a Brooklyn Criminal Court judge agreed to dismiss and seal the charges.

A fight between black customers and the salon’s Asian staff broke out after Thomas, 21, refused to pay for a crummy $5 eyebrow wax — with security and cellphone footage showing workers battering customers with a broom while Thomas strikes back with her hands.

Protesters subsequently swarmed the salon — waving signs reading “BLACK $$$ MATTERS” and chanting, “Shut them down!” — in the days following the brawl, forcing the emporium to close its doors.

Salon worker Huiyue Zheng, 32, was also arrested and charged with assault and weapon possession following the skirmish, and her case continues.

Thomas’ mom told The Post on Wednesday that she’s glad her daughter’s charges were dropped, but thinks more salon workers should have been cuffed.

“I am still wanting to know why the other seven individuals that were involved in the melee aren’t arrested and charges not brought against them,” said Abby Moses.

The investigation continues, Gonzales said.
