Rookie QB gets his corps four targets

Sam Darnold’s stellar career-opening performance was even more impressive when you consider he didn’t have one of his top weapons. But that most likely won’t be the case in his home debut at MetLife Stadium.

Jermaine Kearse, sidelined by an abdominal strain, practiced fully again Friday and should be active against the Dolphins on Sunday afternoon, giving Darnold a reliable veteran presence to combine with fellow wide receivers Quincy Enunwa, Robby Anderson and Terrelle Pryor.

“I feel really good, excited for this weekend,” Kearse said. “Looking forward to the game.”

Barring a setback, it will be the first time the Jets have their full complement of receivers together in a game at the same time. They weren’t all active at the same time during the preseason. Pryor was brought along slowly af- ter ankle surgery in June and Kearse missed the final two exhibition games with the abdominal injury.

Enunwa, Anderson and Pryor combined for 10 catches for 153 yards and two touchdowns against the Lions, and now the Jets add Kearse, who led the team in receptions with 65 a year ago.

The Jets caught a break Friday with the news Dolphins left guard Josh Sitton will be out for the remainder of the season after suffering a torn rotator cuff. The four-time Pro Bowler, signed by Miami in the offseason, will be replaced by veteran Ted Larsen. The Dolphins’ offensive line shined in Week 1, allowing just one sack and helping produce 120 rushing yards in a 27-20 victory over the Titans.

Darrelle Revis, who retired in the offseason as a Jet, will be the team’s honorary captain Sunday. … DeVante Parker (broken middle finger), one of the Dolphins’ top receivers, is questionable.
