They’re best of the best

The top 30 players in FedEx Cup points tee up for the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Any of the top five in points (Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose, Tony Finau, Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas) can clinch the Cup with a win. Others need to win and get mathematical help. Top shots — Justin Rose (15/2) and Rory McIlroy (17/2): Rose has one of the best track records of anybody on Donald Ross courses. McIlroy has done well at East Lake (first, 16th, second and 10th).

Contenders — Webb Simpson (25/1) and Francesco Molinari (25/1): Simpson is another Ross design master. Molinari has two wins, a runner-up finish in 2018 and finished eighth at the BMW. Live long shots — Bubba Watson (35/1) and Kevin Na (75/1).
