I don’t have a residence in New York, so I guess I’d have to call home the Four Seasons. It has a very special place in my heart. When I first started “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Larry David and I came [around 1999] to kick off the first season, when nobody had seen the show yet. We had a martini at the bar. It felt very fancy. Now every time I go to the Four Seasons, I see that moment in my life. It’s a fun place to be with girlfriends for a dirty martini on the rocks. That’s what I like, if you’re buying!

As for my mornings, I love to work out at my go-to gym, Equinox. I really need yoga in my life. Not only does it help me stay in shape, it helps me feel centered. If I have an hour or 90-minute class, I’m not focusing on anything but trying to get through a pose. Then I’ll sit around and drink smoothies at the minibar.

Last time I was here, I was at the Plaza Ho- tel and went to the underground food hall for lunch. My husband — who spends a lot of time in New York — and I sat at the counter and dined at Luke’s Lobster. Then my girlfriend and I went to the Chess & Checkers House in Central Park. It’s a little building with built-in checkers tables. We got some checkers in exchange for a driving license. It seems like a lot that you’re going to lose your driver’s license if you take off with their 10-year-old checkers. My favorite restaurant is Tao. I could probably go to the one in LA, but I never find myself getting dressed up to go out to dinner for no reason there. But when I’m here, I love Tao. The Buddha gives me a lot of spiritual energy. It’s a completely different vibe in New York. As soon as you step onto the sidewalk, you have to get with the flow and keep moving. Everything’s fast; there’s an energy and electricity, things you just don’t get in LA.
