Kanye gaga for MAGA on 'SNL'

President Trump bashed “Saturday Night Live” on Sunday while praising the show’s latest musical guest, Kanye West, who donned a “Make America Great Again” hat on the show’s season premiere.

Trump tweeted about the “no talent” program just before noon on Sunday. West had ended the show with a pro-Trump rant that slammed Democrats for “promoting welfare,” and went on his own Twitter tirade Sunday, voicing support for repealing the 13th Amendment — which abolished slavery.

“Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) – no longer funny, no talent or charm,” the president tweeted. “It is just a political ad for the Dems.”

He added, “Word is that Kanye West,, who put on a MAGA hatat after the show (despitete being told ‘no’), was great. He’s leading the charge!”

Boos raineded down on the hip-hop star as he delivered his partially unaireded rant as thee credits rolled, although video clips soon spread online, including via Instagram from comedian Chris Rock, who was in attendance. “The blacks weren’t always Democrats, you know, it’s like the plan they did, to take the fathers out the home and put them on welfare,” West said. “Does anybody know about that? That’s a Democratic plan.” Then he turned to his support of Trump. “There’s so many times I talk to like a white person about this and they say, ‘How could you like Trump? He’s racist.’ Well, if I was concerned about racism, I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago.” Later on SundSunday, West issued a tweet about “abolishing the 13th amendment,” seeming to argue that a clause in the constitutional amendment that exempts slavery as a punishment for a crime makes “the 13th amendment slavery in disguise.” He later added that it should be amended, not repealed.
