Zeke sore but ready for Sunday

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott went through full practice Wednesday after taking himself out of the game Sunday against the Lions because of knee and ankle soreness.

“This is the best Wednesday practice I had. This is the freshest I have felt of any Wednesday,” Elliott said. “I did a good job of coming in and getting that treatment to be ready to go today. I got to thank the training staff and all those guys for helping me get back on my feet.”

Falcons getting RB Freeman back for Steelers game

The Falcons expect to have running back Devonta Freeman return for Sunday’s game at the Steelers after missing three games with a sore right knee. Coach Dan Quinn said Freeman, the team’s leading rusher each of the last three years, would have full clearance “without any setbacks.”

Colts’ Good out vs. Pats after death of brother

Colts right tackle Denzelle Good will be one of seven players who will not play Thursday at New England.

Good’s brother, Overton, was killed in an alleged drive-by shooting in South Carolina this week.

Also out will be Pro Bowl tight end Jack Doyle (hip) and four-time Pro Bowl receiver T.Y. Hilton (hamstring). The other starters sitting out are running back Marlon Mack (hamstring) and cornerback Kenny Moore II (concussion).

Warriors’ Green sits out of practice again

Warriors forward Draymond Green had an MRI on his sore knee and was out of practice for the second straight day as he continues to rehab a left knee injury that flared up during Monday’s practice.
