FIRST LADY & THE TRAMPS

Cheats ‘not my focus’

- By YARON STEINBUCH

Melania Trump has more pressing matters on her mind than allegations of infidelity by her husband, she insisted in a noholds-barred interview.

“I’m a mother and a first lady, and I have much more important things to think about and to do,” she told ABC News when asked whether President Trump’s alleged straying has put a strain on their marriage. “It is not concern and focus of mmine,” she told correspcorrespondent Tom LlamLlamas in an interviview conducted during her recent solo tour to Africa.

The presiddent has denied porn star Stormy DanielDaniels’ allegations thath sheh hhad a fling with the future commander in chief more than a decade ago — though he admitted reimbursing Michael Cohen, his former personal attorney, for a $130,000 hush payment.

Rudy Giuliani, the president’s lawyer, said in June the first lady “believes her husband, and she knows it’s untrue,” re- ferring to her thoughts on Daniels’ claims.

But Melania brushed aside the former New York mayor’s remarks. “I never talked to Mr. Giuliani,” she said.

Former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal also went public with details of an alleged 10month affair.

The first lady said the barrage of embarrassing stories in the last year is “not always pleasant.”

“But I know what is right and what is wrong and what is true and not true,” she said, adding that the first couple’s marriage is solid. “Yes, we are fine. It’s what media speculate, and it’s gossip. It’s not always correct stuff.”

She later added: “I’m very strong, and I know what my priorities are.”

The first lady had previ- ously avoided publicly addressing the allegations of her husband’s infidelities in their 13-year marriage.

Also during the interview, Melania addressed the mystery surrounding a jacket she wore while boarding Air Force One in June. The jacket, which read “I really don’t care do u?” was meant for the “left-wing media that criticizes her,” she said.

“I want to show them that I don’t care,” she said. “You could criticize whatever you want to say, but it will not stop me to do what I feel is right.”

Addressing a controversial former administration policy, Melania said it was “unacceptable for me to see children and parents separated” at the border.

Melania said she let her husband know and “he agreed.”
