Mooch’s mouth makes movie mirthful

-

ANTHONY Scaramucci — who shows off his cocky, foul-mouthed personality in “Mooch,” a new documentary about him — got blubbery at Monday’s premiere at the Roxy Hotel in Tribeca.

“Deidre, I love you,” Scaramucci (inset) said to his wife, who was expecting their baby when she filed for divorce in July 2017, only to take him back four months later. “We repaired our relationship. Thank you for staying with me!”

Scaramucci — who lasted just 10 days as White House communications director after unleashing profane insults on Steve Bannon — is very much himself in the hilarious film. Director Andrew Muscato said his subject asked him to trim some profanities for fear of offending his mom, Marie Scaramucci. But the Mooch admitted his mom was no shrinking violet when the press gathered at her Port Washington home after President Trump fired him. “She told the reporters, ‘Get the [bleep] off my lawn!’ I said, ‘ Mom, please! This is what got me in trouble in the first place!’ ”

Scaramucci has defended Trump, but he doubts he’s still in the president’s good graces. “I broke with him on the immigration issue,” he said. “I told him he had to lower the flag for John McCain. If you don’t have a perfect record with him, he probably doesn’t think you’re loyal enough.”

The Mooch also chimed in on Saudi Arabia’s suspected role in the disap- pearance of journo Jamal Khashoggi. “I’ve been to Saudi several times,” he said. “If we want to be naive and pretend that these people don’t play rough, we can do that. Or are we now in a new age of authenticity where the spin cycle is over and we begin the rinse cycle where we talk honestly about what’s really going on?” Spotted at the event were Bernie Kerik, Bo Dietl, exMets manager Bobby Valentine, political activist Patricia Duff, Glamour editor Samantha Barry, and authors Karen Duffy and Edward Conlon. “Mooch” is available Tuesday on iTunes and Amazon.
