Orange top N.C. State in thriller
Eric Dungey threw for three touchdowns and ran for another, and Syracuse held off No. 22 North Carolina State, 51-41, Saturday night at the Carrier Dome to become eligible for the postseason for the first time in five years.
Linebacker Andrew Armstrong sealed the victory for the Orange (6-2, 3-2 ACC) with an interception at the 23-yard line of the Wolfpack (5-2, 2-2) with 2:18 left.

In Ypsilanti, Mich., Jordan Asberry caught a touchdown pass and ran for another as Army (6-2) topped Eastern Michigan (4-5).

In Manhattan, Ryan Young ran 30 yards for a tiebreaking, fourth-quarter touchdown and Columbia (4-3, 1-3 Ivy League) beat defending league champ Yale (4-2, 2-2).

In Morehead, Ky., Mekhai Johnson ran for career highs of 170 yards and three touchdowns, Austin Day threw two TD passes and ran for another score and Marist (4-4, 4-1 Pioneer League) beat Morehead State (3-5, 2-3).

In Clinton, S.C., Kenji Bahar threw a pair of touchdown passes to Reggie White Jr. to rally Monmouth (6-2, 1-0 Big South) past Presbyterian (2-5, 0-3).
JMU 13, Stony Brook 10
In Harrisonburg, Va., Tyler Gray kicked a pair of fourth-quarter field goals and James Madison (6-2, 4-1 CAA) rallied to edge Stony Brook (6-3, 4-2). The Seawolves got a 30yard TD run from Donald Liotine.
CCSU 49, Wagner 24
In New Britain, Conn., Aaron Dawson rushed for an NEC record 361 yards and five touchdowns, scoring the last four TDs of the game to lead Central Connecticut State (5-4, 3-1) over Wagner (2-6, 1-2), which led 24-21 early in the third quarter after a Luke Massel TDpass to Adam Giordano.
Lafayette 21, Fordham 13
In The Bronx, C.J. Amill and Selwyn Simpson combined to rush for 245 yards and three touchdowns and Lafayette (3-5, 2-2 Patriot League) held Fordham (1-7, 1-2) to minus-20 yards on the ground. Tim DeMorat threw two TD passes for the Rams.
