Trump a road warrior

- By MARISA SCHULTZ Marisa Schultz

President Trump spent the last day before the 2018 midterms holding a slew of rallies across the Midwest — going from Ohio to Indiana and then Missouri — warning against a Democratic Congress.

Trump brought up the issues of immigration, crime and health care, declaring that Democrats would ruin the economy and turn the United States into a “socialist nightmare.”

“If the radical Democrats take power, they will take a wrecking ball to our economy and to the future of our country,” Trump said in Fort Wayne, Ind., prompting boos from the crowd. “The Democrat agenda will deliver a socialist nightmare.”

“The Republican agenda is delivering the American dream. Optimism,” he added.

He also spread wild accusations that Democrats want to bring in illegal immigrants to fill up schools, hospitals and neighborhoods.

“If you want more caravans and more crime, vote Democrat tomorrow,” Trump said.

Earlier, at a Cleveland rally, Trump accused Democrats of “inviting caravan after caravan of illegal aliens to flood into our country and overwhelm your communities.”

He also declared that Democrats would destroy health care.

They will “take away your health care. You can forget it. You’re gonna live in a socialist world,” he predicted, adding that he would fix it.

“We’re going to be the ones that solve the health care,” the president promised.

Trump closed out his night in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
